This beach is the continuation of the beach of Puerto Banus and it extends until the last houses of the urbanization of the same name. It can be an alternative if the beach of Banus Port is very concurred. Although the beach of Rio Verde is not so animated and lacks services of rents, is very calm, with houses on beach foot. There is a restaurant with a terrace that dominates the beach. From there are pretty views to Puerto Banus here.

Due to its location and characteristics, this beach is situated within the area of the Rio Verde Urbanization, next to the river with the same name, it is a 1.600 m long beach and 40 m wide, made up by grey sand that proceeds mostly from the Rio Verde River. Close by are the remains of a Hispano Roman villa from the Ist century, known as the Rio Verde Roman Villa.

It is a tourist beach with a medium occupation level, different water sports are practiced here such as windsurf, jet skiing, waterbikes, etc. Among the services offered is the Coral Beach Hotel with four stars, as well as a beach club and three beach restaurants. The sea is classified as being in good condition. The municipal cleaning service carries out the daily maintenance of the beach both manually and mechanically. Equipment and services: this beach has showers and public toilets, vigilance towers, life saving and first aid equipment, as well as being watched over by life guards in the summer season.
